CORPUS CHRISTI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

Sacraments are signs of Grace, instituted by Christ.

Further information available through the parish or religious education offices. Please note that the sacrament of “Holy Orders” is conferred by the Bishop. (more details, click here)

ANNOINTING OF THE SICK

This sacrament is given at any time. Please contact the priest to arrange administering the Sacrament at the first sign of serious illness. Shut-ins should call the office to be placed on the First Friday Communion List.

Sacrament is given on Saturdays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m., or the Thursdays before the First Fridays at 4 p.m. in the church. Other times are available as announced in the bulletin, or by individual appointment.

RECONCILIATION

SACRAMENT OF HOLY EUCHARIST

First Communion is distributed during annual Masses to children and adults who registered to participate in, and completed requirements of religious preparation through Catholic church sponsored religious education programs.

Properly prepared young people and adults are confirmed annually. Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation," whose unity is safeguarded.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

Couples planning to be married must contact a priest at least nine to 12 months prior to the desired wedding date. Corpus Christi operates a Marriage Preparation Mentor program to assist couples with this preparation period.

SACRAMENT OF HOLY MATRIMONY

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

Baptisms are conducted on the first Sunday of each month. Arrangements must be made for the Sacrament by calling the parish office.

HOLY ORDERS

In our diocese, ordination, or, the conferring of the sacrament of Holy Orders,  occurs at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Harrisburg. The sacrament confers the priesthood. Our Corpus Christi church joins in supporting both working and retired priests and religious. We continually ask our Lord for an increase in vocations. Further information about the priesthood and other vocations to religious life can be found through contacting a local priest, or through the Diocese of Harrisburg website (see link at top of page).
